Almighty God; we make our earnest prayer
that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection,
that Thou wilt incline the hearts of citizens to cultivate
a spirit of subordination and obedience to government;
and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another
and for their fellow citizens of the United States of America at large.
And finally, that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased
to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy and to demean ourselves
with that charity, humility and pacific temper of mind
which were the characteristics of The Divine Author
of our blessed religion, and without whose example
in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation.
Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee,
through Jesus Christ Our Lord.

Amen.

O glorious advocate and protector, Saint Valentine,
look with pity upon our wants,
hear our requests,
attend to our prayers,
relieve by your intercession
the miseries under which we labor,
and obtain for us the Divine blessing,
that we may be found worthy to join you
in praising the Almighty for all eternity;
through the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

O Loving Mother,
Through you the heavens exult with joy,
the angels and archangels are glad,
demons are put to flight,
the demon tempter is cast out of heaven,
and our fallen nature has again
been assumed into heaven.
It is through you that the only-begotten Son of God,
who is the Light, shone amid the nations
who were seated in darkness and the shadow of death.
What human voice can ever worthily celebrate
the ineffable greatness of Mary?
She is Mother and Virgin at the same time.
Through her peace has been restored to the world.

Lord as we suffer through this time of the virus
allow us to turn to You for strength and comfort.
I know that Your saving help reaches out
to those afflicted and in pain.
Grant us the faith to believe that You are here
with us and will grant us a consolation
beyond even our deepest desires.

O Immaculate Virgin Mary,
Mother of Mercy,
you are the refuge of sinners,
the health of the sick,
and the comfort of the afflicted.
You know my wants,
my troubles, my sufferings.
By your appearance at the Grotto of Lourdes
you made it a privileged sanctuary
where your favors are given to people
streaming to it from the whole world.
Over the years countless sufferers
have obtained the cure for their infirmities -
whether of soul, mind, or body.
Therefore I come to you
with limitless confidence
to implore your motherly intercession.
Obtain, O loving Mother,
the grant of my requests.
Through gratitude for Your favors,
I will endeavor to imitate Your virtues,
that I may one day share in Your glory.

Amen.

O God, to show us where innocence leads,
you made the soul of your virgin Saint Scholastica
soar to heaven like a dove in flight.
Grant through her merits and prayers
that we may so live in innocence
and attain joys everlasting.
This we ask through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever.

Amen.

February 9, 2021

May God, who loves us all,
give you his choicest blessings,
and fill your life with joy.
May He guide you in His ways,
and lead you to His glory.

May Almighty God,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
give His blessing to you for ever and ever.

Amen.

St. Josephine Bakhita, you were sold into slavery as a child
and endured untold hardship and suffering.
Once liberated from your physical enslavement,
you found true redemption in your encounter with Christ and his Church.
O St. Bakhita, assist all those who are trapped in a state of slavery;
Intercede with God on their behalf
so that they will be released from their chains of captivity.
Those whom man enslaves, let God set free.
Provide comfort to survivors of slavery
and let them look to you as an example of hope and faith.
Help all survivors find healing from their wounds.
We ask for your prayers and intercessions for those enslaved among us.

Amen.

You are all fair, O Mary.
And the original stain is not in you.
You are the glory of Jerusalem.
You are the joy of Israel.
You are the honor of our people.
You are the advocate of sinners.
O Mary, virgin most prudent,
mother most tender, pray for us.
Intercede for us with Jesus Christ our Lord.

February 6, 2021

We honor you, O Mary,
Mother of God,
treasure of the universe,
inextinguishable flame,
crown of virginity,
scepter of the true faith,
indestructible temple,
Tabernacle of the one whom
the world cannot contain,
and Mother and Virgin.
In your womb you enclosed
the immense and incomprehensible One.
Through you the Trinity is glorified
and the cross is celebrated and adored
everywhere on earth.

Oh, Saint Agatha,
who withstood the unwelcome advances
from unwanted suitors,
and suffered pain and torture
for her devotion to our Lord,
we celebrate your faith, dignity, and martyrdom.
Protect us against persoanl violations,
guard us against breast cancer
and other afflictions of women,
and inspire us to overcome adversity.
Oh Saint Agatha virgin and martyr,
mercifully grant that we who venerate your sacrifice,
may receive your intercession.

Amen.

During this time of the virus so many are suffering
in so many different ways.
Lord, I am tempted to wonder if you are really
listening to my pleas and prayers.
Then I realize that you are so firmly present
in my life that you always offer me
your joy and peace if I am listening.
Yes it is tough to wait and wonder.
Yes it is tough to persevere.
Lord open my heart to hear your loving response
to my pleas that I may continue to abide in your saving peace.

O glorious Saint Blaise,
who by your martyrdom
has left to the Church
a precious witness to the faith,
obtain for us the grace to
preserve within ourselves this divine gift,
and to defend, the truth of that same faith,
which is so wickedly attacked
and slandered in these our times.
You miraculously cured a little child
when it was at the point of death
by reason of an affliction of the throat,
grant us your powerful protection in like misfortunes;
and, above all, obtain for us the grace of God.

February 2, 2021

All-powerful Father,
Christ your Son became man for us
and was presented in the temple.
May he free our hearts from sin
and bring us into your presence.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son, who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever.

Amen.

O Mary, Mother of God and Mother of the Church,
to you we entrust our life.
We are your children
and in your hands we place all our needs.
To you, Virgin of Nazareth,
we humbly offer our desire to follow Jesus
on the path of love with fidelity and perseverance,
so that we may serve Him
with an undivided and generous heart.

Guide us always with motherly love.
Sustain us in our weakness;
strengthen us in hope.
Increase our trust in God,
our love for Christ,
and our fidelity to the Church.

My Mother, My Confidence!

Amen.
